Lost minecraft game when computer crashed

Asked by

So, about six months ago I bought the game minecraft. I was really fun and I loved every bit of it, however a few months later my computer crashed and I lost the files for the game and the game itself.

My account says it’s still premium, and that is a major problem. I can no longer buy the game, which means that the minecraft launcher I just downloaded doesn’t work correctly. I have no sound for the game nor anything else for the game to work.

I was wondering if there is a way to contact Notch or something else I can do?

Please help….

If you run the launcher then it should restore all your game files.

To start fresh you will need to delete the minecraft files. Providing you’re on Windows, press the Windows key + r, this will open the run window. In there type ‘%APPDATA%’ and delete the entire .minecraft folder.

Download the latest launcher (http://www.minecraft.net/download), run it and login. This should restore all the files you deleted.

Hope this helps.
